A Lesson from Qura’an-o-Hadith
Al-Qura’an:
English Translation of Al-Quran
[5]. Surah Al-Ma’idah [The Table Spread With Food]
Ayat 107. If then it gets known that these two had been guilty of sin, let two others stand forth in their places, nearest in kin from among those who claim a lawful right. Let them swear by Allah (saying): “We affirm that our testimony is truer than that of both of them, and that we have not trespassed (the truth), for then indeed we should be of the wrong¬doers.”
Al-Hadith:
English Translation of Hadith
[Muslim]. {rs 661-2 / eg-1553}
Hazrat Abud-Darda’ (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah [S.A.W.W]((P.B.U.H) said, “Those who frequently resort to cursing (people) would neither be accepted as witnesses nor as intercessors on the Day of Resurrection.”
Lesson:
The habit of taunting and cursing makes a man sinful. Such a person has no value with Allah, and his testimony and intercession will not be considered on the Day of Judgement.
