Punjab Assembly passes unanimously condemn Daata Darbar Bomb blasts
LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly (PA) on Monday accepted a unanimous resolution to condemn suicide blasts at Daata Darbar. Law Minister of Punjab Rana Sanaullah Khan presented the resolution, while speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal was chairing the house.
Members from both the sides of the house whole heartedly condemned the event at the holy place and said that the terrorists could not smash the determination of the Pakistani nation to get rid of the danger of terrorism from the society.
They said that the killings of the innocent Muslims at masajids, worship places, shrines, markets and other such places are the most horrible type of crime against humanity and those involved in them cannot be Muslims.
The Assembly members also stressed the need to jointly work against the terrorists by ignoring the political, sectarian and all other differences. Ch Zaheer, Leader of the opposition in the Punjab Assembly while presenting his views on the resolution termed the assault on Daata Darbar as an attack on the spirit of Islam. Islam is a message of peace and Daata Darbar is a place of peace that is the cause the terrorist have attacked on it to damage the very sprit of peace, he added.
Raja Riaz, the Senior Minister and Parliamentary Leader of the PPP in the Punjab Assembly, said that attack on Daata Darbar like place is a huge challenge for the provincial government. He praised the victorious operation against the terrorists by the security agencies in Swat and said that the Punjab government should follow the example and work with more devotion and commitment to root out terrorism.
Those other spoke on the time were include Nargis Faiz Malik, Sajida Mir, Rana Ijaz, Ali Asghar, Amna Ulfat, Samina Khawar Hayat, Simal Kamran, Khadija Umer. They condemned the happening and demanded the administration to take more tangible steps to control such happenings yet again.
